Privacy Policy

Whisperto is a Mac application that listens to your meetings to give you live coaching cues and translation. This page explains exactly what data we collect, what we don't, and where it lives. If anything here is unclear, email hello@whisperto.app.

1. What we don't collect

We never store your meeting audio. Captured audio is streamed to the transcription provider you select (Deepgram, or on-device Whisper) and then discarded.
We never store your transcripts or summaries on our servers. They live only in your Mac's local app sandbox.
We don't track you with cookies on whisperto.app. We use only the privacy-preserving aggregate analytics Cloudflare provides.
We never sell, share, or trade any personal data with third parties for marketing.

2. What we do collect

Account / licensing data: when you buy a license through LemonSqueezy, we receive your email and the license key. This is the minimum needed to honour your purchase, send renewal emails, and let you re-activate after a reinstall.
Minute balance: the worker that powers the app keeps a per-license row recording remaining sub minutes, remaining pack minutes, and total consumed seconds. This is needed to enforce your plan limits.
Click analytics: when you click a Download or Subscribe button on whisperto.app, we log the timestamp, the CTA source (e.g. "hero" vs "pricing"), country / region / city derived at the Cloudflare edge, the referer, and user-agent. We do not store IP addresses.
Crash + diagnostic logs: the Mac app logs to the local macOS Unified Log (Console.app). Logs never leave your Mac unless you copy them and send them to us during a support ticket.

3. Third-party processors

When you use Whisperto, your meeting audio + text routes through these processors:

Deepgram — speech-to-text transcription (cloud mode). deepgram.com/privacy
OpenAI or Anthropic — your selected coaching / translation model. Their API data-use policies apply. By default neither provider trains on API requests.
LemonSqueezy — billing, license management, customer email. lemonsqueezy.com/privacy
Cloudflare — hosting (Pages + Workers + D1 + R2) and edge analytics. cloudflare.com/privacypolicy

If you switch the Mac app to on-device Whisper mode, transcription stays entirely on your laptop and no audio reaches Deepgram.

4. Your rights

You can request deletion of your account, license, balance row, and any associated click logs by emailing hello@whisperto.app. We respond within seven working days.

5. Children

Whisperto is intended for use by adults in professional settings. The product is not directed at children under 16.

6. Changes

If this policy changes materially, the "Last updated" date above is bumped and active subscribers receive an email summary.
